"blog_title": "Lesson Three- Truth \"Etymology \"",
"blog_content": "\"The most valuable commodity in the 21st century will be truth\". - Pastor Del 2016\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n Truth – “Etymology” \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe term for truth in our current vocabulary comes from the Old English word \"troth,\" which dates to the late 12th century. It was associated with a phonetic variant of the word “treowd,” typically used to signify faithfulness and truth. As the word evolved, it became associated with a more familiar term in the current English dialect: betroth. In definition, it means to pledge and become a true, lawful companion, removing the option to make the same pledge to anyone else.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe origin of the word truth in the English language implies a pledge and commitment to a standard or belief which prevents a person from making the same pledge to anything else. Analyzing the current usage of the word, it is obvious that the intended definition has declined, leading to a decline in commitment to truth standards as well.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Akan people in the southern regions of the former Gold Coast region, known today as the nation of Ghana, are credited with originating the use of a well-known African word for truth “nokware”. The ancient meta-ethnicity residing in West Africa applies a clear and simple definition to its meaning. The word “nokware” means to be the opposite of its counterpoint. It is the opposite of “nkontompo”, lies.\r\n\r\n\r\nIn the African language truth is defined as everything that is not a lie. Simplifying the application of truth leaves less room for misidentification. Identifying a lie, anything not supported by observation or fact. Without a witness, it cannot be true. Without observable evidence, it cannot be true. The other half of the simplified equation explains that anything that cannot be true is a lie. End of discussion. \r\n\r\n\r\nIn Western culture, the opposite of something truth is generally categorized as false. In Africa, the expected antonym “false” is inadequate because false implies that information can be rearranged to produce something true. The enemy of the truth is not simply a false narrative where facts or information can be rearranged; the enemy of truth is the lie that intentionally denies and dismisses the evidence and presence of truth.\r\n\r\n\r\nSetting the truth against the “lie” establishes a moral value to the concept of truth. In African culture, truth has an empirical connection; it is not merely an affirmation of man’s rational analysis and intellectual intuition. Truth connects man to the divine, the highest form of truth and the authority that outranks man. \r\n\r\n\r\nIn Hebrew, the physical construction of the word for truth illustrates the significant impact that truth has on an individual life. The origin word “Emet” comprises three Hebrew letters: the aleph, mem, and the tav. The Hebrew alphabet is unique because the physical letters are symbolic, expressing an independent meaning beyond the word they are used to create. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe letter aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet. It is a silent letter with no sound, but its presence is self-evident. Because of its physical structure and soundless nature, the letter is used as a symbol to illustrate a Hebrew reference for God’s name: \"Yud Hey Vav Hey\" (YHVH). The script of the “aleph” captures all three Hebrew letters in its formation. The combination of letters is also considered unpronounceable because the name of the Creator cannot be fully expressed in any language. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe letter mem symbolizes what is most vital to sustain the world that God has created. It is often compared to water because of its massive natural presence on the earth and because it is essential to sustain all life forms in creation. The symbol of water, represented by the mem, is also used to illustrate the importance of the Torah as the spiritual water to sustain life in the world God created for man.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe letter “tav” is the last letter in the word truth (emet) it is also the last letter in the Hebrew alphabet. Its place in the Hebrew alphabet naturally asserts “tav” to represent finality. The finality represented by this letter is not only a reference to an endpoint, but it also means to summarize, providing a final total as with the tally results in an equation. The “tav” is the end summation indicating that nothing else can be added once the total has been quantified. The end results will warrant a response based on the final sum. \r\n\r\n\r\nCollectively, Aleph, Mem, and Tav illustrate the beginning to the end, first to the last, with Mem representing everything essential in between. In the end, the truth about every life will be revealed. The final summation cannot be changed or altered and an appropriate response will be determined. How we choose to acknowledge God will be the most crucial factor that will influence our life summation. The importance is illustrated in the physical structure of the Hebrew word for truth.\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen determining how life should be lived, there are various opinions about what a person should live for and whom they should please. A revelation is embedded in the format of the word “emet” (truth), which offers an important observation. Removing the letter aleph, the first letter of the Hebrew alphabet, and a symbol for the unpronounceable name of God, transforms the structure and meaning of the word. The two remaining letters, Mem and Tav, form the Hebrew word for \"death.\"\r\n\r\n\r\nWhen God, His name, or His influence (presence) is removed from the equation, “Truth” is altered. Attempts to define truth without accounting for God will always render partial results; something will be missing. Truth originates with God, comes from God, and is who God is. (John 4:24, 8:40, *Romans 1:25) There is no truth without God because God is absolute Truth.\r\n\r\n\r\nRemoving God’s name and presence from the quest for life will result in a summation equal to death. A life without God ultimately leads to death, which is eternal separation from His presence.",

"blog_content": "\"The most valuable commodity in the 21st century will be truth\". - Pastor Del 2016\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\t\t\t\tTruth – “An Endangered Species” part one\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nIn the 21st century, “truth” has become an endangered species. The belief in absolute moral standards, which once provided a foundation for truth, is slowly deteriorating due to the rise of amoral alternatives. The erosion continues beyond distinguishing fact from fiction, aiming to eliminate traditional standards of truth and replace them with non-traditional practices lacking any basis for truth.\r\n\r\n\r\nTruth has become a much sought-after commodity as its seekers strive to determine if the facts presented to them are accurate or if the acquired information has been compromised. Commodities traded in the marketplace have an attached valuation, which rises as the demand increases. The cost of truth is rising and trading well beyond normal market standards making it harder to access for those who need it most.\r\n\r\n\r\nFundamental truth standards required to help people navigate through everyday life accurately and safely are increasingly becoming unreliable. Without truth standards, the ability to safely cross a street with high traffic volume diminishes. \r\n\r\n\r\nWhen news is misreported or distorted, it puts others at risk. When false warnings become common, it makes it difficult to properly respond in true emergency situations. The unspoken protocols that prompt people to line up in sequential order at a check-out stand are rooted in a truth standard that quietly promotes the rule of orderly assembly. Every time one standard begins to unravel, it makes it easier for the next, and there is no mechanism to remove some and preserve others. Eventually, absent any preventive measures all standards will become less effective until they become extinct.\r\n\r\n\r\nA living species does not become extinct overnight it is a slow death march. Looking into the rearview mirror of contemporary culture are important markers that track the deterioration of truth in this generation. When they occur, the evidence of future damage is not noticeable. On the surface these events appear to be harmless. Unfortunately, by the time a trail of evidence is identifiable, the damage is already done, and a new construct has begun to form.\r\n\r\n\r\nReality television is first on this list. The very name is misleading because there was nothing “real” about Reality television except for the hoax that was imposed upon its audience. Officially, the first form was presented in the well-known and beloved Candid Camera series. The hoax was not actually deceptive because the producers allowed the audience to see behind the scenes to view the fictional characters before the false narrative was executed. The success of this series laid the groundwork for the creation of the Americas Funniest videos. This series inversed the plot of Candid Camera and used reels of actual recorded events that would normally be limited to a small audience in a family den. The ratings success suggested that people wanted to see the upstaged incidents of falls, funny babies, and adult bloopers.\r\n\r\n\r\nCandid Camera first aired in 1948. America's Funniest Videos started airing in 1989, and as its audience grew, the Candid Camera series, after a brief hiatus and short return to the screen, would end in 2014. In 2003, MTV, which stands for Music Television, dominated its market share from its inception in 1981 until the late 1990s. In search of a new angle, MTV took the model of America’s Funniest Home Videos and intentionally altered the focus of the hoax. Instead of giving the viewing audience a private seat of a real homemade event that seemed too funny to be true, the audience became the target in a new series called MTV's Punk'd. The audience was introduced to seemingly improbable events unfold, presented as though they were real. Each portrayal of events challenged the audience to determine if what they witnessed with their own eyes was true or false.\r\n\r\n\r\nIn hindsight, the gradual warming of the pot that began with Candid Camera continued to build on the audience's appetite for reality television until it reached a boiling point with the audience still in the pot.\r\n\r\n\r\nJerry Springer launched a talk show in 1989. It was not original and followed the standard formats of other programs in that genre. His ratings were sluggish during the show's first three years, and he was unlikely to survive another season with a market already flooded with the same type of program formats. Mr. Springer convinced producers to allow him to push the tolerance threshold of his viewing audience. With the success and attraction of newly labeled reality programs that gently invited the audience to accept questionable real events, he believed he could push further with a format never seen on television. Twenty-four years later, Gerald Norman Springer would make the largest deposit of debauchery on daytime television. The success of this show proved that America did not have a tolerance limit for crude and debased subject matters. Many of his tabloid topics had truth origins but, in many cases, were intentionally embellished to feed the frenzy of his audiences. The proof test of the Jerry Springer Show reveals that contemporary culture was thirsty for the obscene. This program would not have survived a single season if the appetite and demand were not present in American culture. Facts behind the show's history reveal ratings that at times rivaled the Oprah Winfrey Show and, on a few occasions, outpaced that show's ratings. The comparison of ratings reveals competing appetites with truth struggling against a greater appeal for false, lewd, and crude narratives.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe market success of inaugural versions of reality television paved the way for more than 600 nuances with varying genres from dating to gaming. Estimates show that nearly 80 percent of adult TV viewers watch perceived reality television. In truth, the show is a collaboration between reality cast members, producers, and the onsite crew, including editors and even camera operators. There is not a traditional written script as with standard television shows, which is the reason it is labeled as unscripted TV; however, it is not merely a camera capturing spontaneous interactions. The industry refers to the staged presentation as a “simulacrum,” imitating real life and not accurately reflecting reality. \r\n\r\n\r\nParticipants are placed in artificial situations, fully aware that they are role-playing reactions to a camera. Generally, the cast members are coached on their behavior to respond to the storylines written for them. In some reality game shows, producers have been accused of skewing the outcome to favor a popular personality or underdog, whichever scenario potentially drives the best ratings.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe widespread influence of television media has conditioned global culture to accept false narratives as truth. The false narrative role-play is featured in daily radio personas, shows up in social media reels, and is present in nearly every aspect of digital communication. The ability to distinctively set truth and false presentations apart becomes more difficult day after day.",

"blog_content": "\"The most valuable commodity in the 21st century will be truth\". - Pastor Del 2016\n\n\n \n\n\t\t\t\tTruth – “An Endangered Species” part two\n\n\n\nThe evolution of technology in the 20th century is another featured milestone marker in the rearview mirror. The internet, which evolved from a data system called ARPANET (Advance Research Projects and Agency Network) was introduced to the public worldwide. In 1983, the system that was an information storage station available only to a private network of intellectuals in select fields of advanced research became accessible to the general public. This achievement was possible because of the creation of a data transfer protocol (TCP/IP) that made it possible for various types of computers existing on separate networks to communicate with each other, sharing and exchanging data.\n\n\nTechnology was accelerated at an unexpected pace resulting from this achievement. The high-tech era would also yield unintended outcomes. There are several industries that have been adversely impacted by the overrun of the internet and social media. Online shopping outpaces in-person purchases, specifically in the category of impulse buying. The motion picture industry suffered tremendously during the COVID shutdown, and the population worldwide resorted to online entertainment and now replaces the former as streaming services have become the profitable medium for movies and television. The rise of digital books significantly reduced the profits of physical bookstores, resulting in the closure of many well-known stores that were staples across the country.\n\n\nThe greatest disruption and damage resulting from unregulated social media platforms is found among freelancers purporting news, vile rhetoric, porn, and an innumerable volume of disinformation. The acceptance of these nuanced participants to the traditional space of information vendors and news gathering initiated the first unintended domino, unraveling the public’s reliance on traditional news sources. Eventually, many traditional news outlets shuttered operations. \n\n\nFreelancers without credentials or commitments to honor truth outnumber traditional reporters. The intense competition to retain a viewing audience and market share creates significant pressure. These factors impact news quality and truthfulness. Current news reporting relies on algorithms that prioritize ratings, online followers, and ad placements over truthful reporting.\n\n\nThe irony found when looking back is the contradiction of the original intent for creating ARPANET, to protect and preserve critical data. With five billion users in 2023, nearly 75% of the world's population, the internet has become an unintended tracking system and a severe threat to user information. Google was fined by the US for $391.5M in November of 2022 for privacy invasion violations. France fined both Google and Facebook for preventing users from disabling tracking information.\n\n\nAt the peak of technological advancement is the emergence of Artificial Intelligence. Initially, AI served as a basic tool to perform a limited set of predefined tasks. In 2022, ChatGPT took center stage as a prominent tool, evolving from a background help tool to a leading option for creating manuscripts, art, and computer code. A year later, in February 2023, Microsoft followed Open AI with its own version of GPT4 tech, introducing CO-Pilot. The common denominator for both versions of this technology is how the computer brain learns to function by developing a catalog of data across human experiences, written documents, and even fine art to predicate outcomes or to design and create projects with input guidelines.\n\n\nThe term \"Artificial Intelligence\" poses the most obvious threat to the endangered truth. The intention to replace real intelligence with artificial intelligence is clearly stated. Knowingly the world is choosing to abandon human reliability and accountability to a non-sentient entity.\n\n\nThe gradual shift that began with the subtle introduction of reality television and then morphed into an opportunity to feed the depraved nature of the human appetite opened an entryway that lowered standards. The greatest technological achievements occurring in this era, which could be used to serve and promote the highest ideals, came at a time when standards in society and culture were in decline. \n\n\nA species does not become endangered overnight, the decline occurs gradually over time. Like a lobster acclimated to a suitable water temperature, it becomes unaware that it has settled in boiling water that will take its life. The present culture has been lulled into plausible acceptance of un-truthful standards, rhetoric, and leadership at the expense of settling to exist in boiling water.",

"blog_title": "Truth - Intro Message",
"blog_content": "\"The most valuable commodity in the 21st century will be truth\". - Pastor Del\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n \r\n\r\nThere is One TRUTH\r\n\r\n\r\nPontius Pilate asked the man in his custody because of his claim to be the Messiah, “What is Truth”? (John 18:38)\r\n\r\n\r\nThe curiosity of the Roman governor of Judea sparked a profound question that still eludes a definitive answer today. The question suggests an empirical truth exists, yet as societies and cultures become more elite and educated, they tend to avoid assigning an absolute value to that truth.\r\n\r\n\r\nAbsolute truth requires self-examination, asking and answering the hard questions about moral behavior. If a fixed, absolute response or mannerism is considered right, all remaining options and reactions must be deemed wrong.\r\n\r\n\r\nApplying absolute truth to contemporary culture is challenging because, by default, current culture view right and wrong as circumstantial options. This is the way of man, allowing a built-in alternative to abandon a fixed course. \r\n\r\n\r\nHuman nature is embedded with a hunger to plot a course of its own and control turn-by-turn decisions. Just before the Greek Golden Age, there was a shift from the study of the world and environment created by an unseen force for humans and understanding their place in creation to Sophists turning their attention instead to studying the human, to focus on man and his attributes, consciousness, and emotions. \r\n\r\n\r\nFrom the Sophist's perspective, man was more important than his environment; his existence superseded the world created by an unseen force. The world around man would be defined and aligned with man as the center of attention, all things evolving around him. \r\n\r\n\r\nIn this way, the Greeks abandoned the path initiated by older and more knowledgeable African and Asian cultures. These earlier cultures recognized humanity's place as dependent on a higher life-giver that is responsible for the world in which people live. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe pre-Socratic thinkers in the 600 BCE timeline introduced the concept of rhetoric, intending to replace the necessity to arrive at a conclusion of truth with an artistic method to win arguments and debate discussions. Rhetoric speakers were celebrated and became sought-after itinerant teachers in Greek society. \r\n\r\n\r\nProtagoras, a descendant of the pre-Socratic thinkers, was known for parenting the idea that “man is the measure of all things.” His rhetoric, as referenced by the Greek philosopher Plato, suggests that there is no objective truth. The takeaway from his teaching implies individually, every person creates their personal history, experiences, and expectations that, over time, will determine their judgments, opinions, and beliefs regarding \"truth.\" \r\n\r\n\r\nThe Protagorean mindset impacted the Roman governor, born nearly 500 years later and responsible for passing judgment on the man claiming to be the Messiah. The question, “What is truth?” was legitimate based on the culture that groomed him. For Pontius Pilate truth was provisional and not absolute. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe history of the Greek and Roman mindset stands behind the current-day model that advocates for truth to be self-determined and self-governed. This mindset is the great threat and enemy to absolute truth. If a specific truth is absolute, this means that the moment it becomes true, it will remain true for all times.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Bible sustains absolute truth. In the gospel of John, the Messiah declares Himself as absolute truth. In His final year of ministry on earth, His disciples learn that He is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:3-6) \r\n\r\n\r\nThe Messiah's statement is semantically definitive, using “the” to amplify each declaration as a definitive article. The declaration states that He is “the” way not one of many. An absolute truth will impact the immediate next steps in a person’s journey. When a person reads or hears a caution that states, “Danger Do Not Enter,” the next step they take is cautionary. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe course change is directly related to the impact statement of absolute truth. If reasonable doubt exists, it indicates that the information provided is not absolute. Absolute truth will impact course direction. When the Messiah says: “I am the way”, all responders are required to adjust their life course.\r\n\r\n\r\nHowever, even the disciples the Messiah selected to follow Him, questioned His declaration, asking How can we know the way”? Like the Roman governor, they were also impacted by the cultural mindset that suggested truth was relative to lived experience and personal adaptation. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe disciples were men of flesh, and for them, it was impossible for a man with flaws and prone to missteps to know the way. This argument is used to justify rejecting the pursuit of “absolute truth”.\r\n\r\n\r\nTo know the way requires disciples and followers to know and have a relationship with the Messiah because He is the way. Nothing will change until a person changes direction. Following God’s way (path) leads to God’s Truth, the absolute truth. Absolute truth leads to life. \r\n\r\n\r\nThe Messiah did not come to give us a new set of rules and regulations. He came to give humanity access to life. (John 10:10) Having a relationship with He who is the Way leads to Truth that provides access to eternal Life. (John 14:6)",

"blog_title": "Truth - Lesson One \"The Great Lie\"",
"blog_content": "\"The most valuable commodity in the 21st century will be truth\". - Pastor Del 2016\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\tTruth – “The Great Lie” \r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nThe Great Lie, historically presented and re-offered today, suggests alternative paths that lead to life. Alternate paths are less restrictive and support self-adaptive ubiquitous options. The Messiah described the alternate paths as the broadways that lead to destruction, where many are found at its entry. His commentary on the way that leads to life illustrated a narrow path and straight gate with few found at its entry. (Matthew 7:13)\r\n\r\n\r\nFollowing and knowing the truth is an introduction to life. After releasing a woman accused of adultery from her sin debt. The Messiah declared that knowledge of truth has the power to set a person free from the lies that hold them in captivity. (John 8:32)\r\n\r\n\r\nTruth unlocks the spiritually incarcerated that have been prevented and hindered us from experiencing life. Society and, unfortunately, sometimes, religious institutions have established barriers to access life privileges that should be available to everyone. Society creates classes with boundaries that prevent undesirables from gaining access to privileges distinct to status. Religion often functions with less visible class markers but achieves similar distinctions between people considered less spiritual or valued based upon inbred status symbols. \r\n\r\n\r\nTruth reveals knowledge that was hidden resulting from someone’s ignorance or intentionally because of the ignorance and cruelty of others. Knowledge of truth empowers and releases all people to walk in the purpose that God has intended.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe final observation to address in this background overview is the course competing with the way that leads to life. When addressing the population of Gentiles who voluntarily accepted faith in the Messiah, the Apostle Paul reminded them that they left behind them the way (course) of this world. (Ephesians 2:1)\r\n\r\n\r\nThe world has a competing course, leading its followers in the opposite direction away from God’s way. More specifically, it is a path that is opposite and opposed to life. The world’s course has signage to suggest differently, but in the end, all roads on its path lead to death without regard to where you enter or the length of your journey.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe course of the world is organized and structured. There are rules as well as expectations. As inferred previously, the world classifies all its participants. The class structure will not allow a person to navigate beyond its pre-set limits. Class graduation does occur with conditions, and in the end, graduates with certain native qualities will find limits that will impede their mobility. \r\n\r\n\r\nThis is the way of the world. It is not intended to be fair. However, it will equally deliver each of its participants to the same destructive destination. The competing course is pre-set. Although its path will meander with seemingly appealing vantage points, the end game will be unavoidable.\r\n\r\n\r\nThe mindset of world thinkers is also pre-set to be in contradiction to the thinking of its Creator. The Prophet Isaiah was directly told by God that His thoughts and ways are not similar to those of man; they are higher and separated as far as the heaven is from the earth. (Isaiah 55:8)\r\n\r\n\r\nFollowing the course of this world requires a buy-in to all the world offers. It is not possible to taste what it offers without in some way being tainted by it. In the past, the world's offering was less conspicuous and more discreet. The offering presented today includes all the contaminated ingredients, side effects, and instructions that reveal the end results, and yet there is an audience eager to take it all in.",
